How To Vylon Empty
PostSubject: How To Vylon   How To Vylon I_icon_minitimeMon Aug 20, 2012 10:34 am

Vylons
This is a How To on each version of the Vylon decks that are popular and competitive. I will post my decklist and choices as well. If you have any comments or suggestions please post and tell me why or why not. I will also be posting the decks sooner or later on my youtube channel below.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Sigma OTK - In my opinion this is the worst version of the deck to play for the new format. It's dedicated to one monster with many equip cards on it. You need filament or component to keep it alive and cards like lance stop it instantly. The deck is still fun and enjoyable though.

Monsters: 20

2 Genex Neutron
2 Trident Warrior
2 Shining Angel
2 Effect Veiler
3 Photon Thrasher
3 Vylon Cube
3 Vylon Stella
1 Vylon Prism
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
1 Honest

Spells: 20

3 Mage Power
2 Vylon Filament
2 Vylon Segment
2 Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce
2 Pot of Duality
1 Vylon Component
1 Reinforcement of the Army
1 Vylon Matter
1 Dark Hole
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Book of Moon
1 One Day of Peace

The Monster Line-Up is standard for the OTK besides 3 Stella. I choose 3 Stella because Trident and Photon can be searched and you might possibly draw 1 of the 4 cards along with 1 of the 6 lv 3 tuners. I might take out a Genex Neutron for a Photon Thrasher. The reason you would play 3 Thrasher is because Trident can get hit by Veiler. We wan't otk period or really close to it. One Day of Peace is because we might not draw the key cards or we had to go first.

Game 2 For this deck it's up to you. Usually you want to side in Epsilon Control. The reason being is for Slowing the game down and making Maxx "C" useless in a sense.

You could also side in Heroes to not get hurt with Light Imprisoning.

Side 1: 15

1 Cyber Dragon
2 Thunder King Rai-Oh
2 Puppet Plant
2 Electric Virus
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 Dark Imprisoning
2 Royal Decree
2 Super Poly

Side 2: 15

3 Elemental Hero Alius
3 Gemini Spark
2 Noble Knight(promo Card)
2 Super Poly
2 Space Typhoon
1 E-Call
1 Crusader of Endymion
1 Electric Virus

Your Extra Deck would be determined by your side deck how ever you would like to approach it.

With Side Deck One your extra deck would have around 5 level 7 Monsters 2 Sigma included and the rest your liking. Power Tool Dragon is your next best move as soon as Sigma OTK fails. The reason being is because PTool gains attack and if it would be destroyed then the equip card is. Since you play Vylon Matter Tool is viable.

With Side 2 you obviously want Heroes that take up extra deck as well as Sigma OTK. since sigma otk realize on few synchros besides sigma it's easier to work Heroes in the extra.

Epsilon Control - Probably the most safest Vylon deck you can build. It focuses on 1 monster mostly, but the difference is this card is harder to get rid of.

Monsters: 18

3 Vylon Prism
2 Trident Warrior
2 Photon Thrasher
2 Genex Neutron
2 Vylon Cube
2 Effect Veiler
2 Summoner Monk
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
1 Vylon Ohm
1 Honest

Spells: 18

3 Vylon Segment
2 Vylon Filament
2 Vylon Matter
2 Pot of Duality
1 Reinforcement of the Army
1 Dark Hole
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn
1 Book of Moon
1 Vylon Component
1 United We Stand
1 Mage Power

Traps: 5

2 Solemn Warning
1 Dark Bribe
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Seven Tools of the Bandit

This Extra Makes Level 8 Synchros along with Epsilon. Basically you want stardust and Epsilon on the field ASAP. 2 Epsilon and 2 Stardust is a must. The rest of the extra is your choice.

The side deck is interesting. You can go many ways with it. I have been doing a chaos variant.

Side 15

2 Thunder King Rai-Oh
2 Electric Virus
2 Puppet Plant
1 Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
1 Breaker the Magical Warrior
1 Tsukuyomi
1 Black Luster Soldier
1 Soul Release
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Nobleman of Extermination
2 Nobleman of Crossout

The reason for the side is because its a slower paced game that focuses more on grave and field presence into game 2. because Startard(Stardust) and Epsilon are on the field summoning cards like breaker and kycoo won't matter because Stardust will negate the Torrential. The "Nobleman Brigade" is because you side Tsukuyomi and that you have big monsters on the field and so you opponent is less likely to summon face-up unless they have a play in which you have the solemn brigade for. Also The Huge Revolution is Over might be an even better card for the fact of cards like Scrap Dragon it can stop and such. Soul Release is a tech choice because Lightsworns get 3 Necro and they can mill keep cards, Spell Books need grave, and so are other decks that will be used alot next format.

Element OTK/Swarm - This is the deck I currently play now. The only reason I'm not playing Epsilon Control is because I don't have 2 Epsilon. This deck focuses on using Rod of Silence Kay Est and Vylon Element to spam mass synchros and have a huge board. This can possibly produce and otk as well. If you don't otk this deck is safe as you can have Vylon Omega Stardust and or Epsilon and other synchros even if they Dark Hole your field is impressive. This deck can really be a hassle as well and is probably on the same level of consistency even though it seems as you have more outs game 1.

Monsters: 21

3 Genex Neutron
3 Vylon Prism
3 Vylon Cube
2 Photon Thrasher
2 Trident Warrior
2 Shining Angel
2 Vylon Tetra
2 Vylon Sphere
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness/Veiler, Swift Scarecrow, Fader
1 Honest

Spells: 19

3 Vylon Material
3 Vylon Segment
2 Vylon Element
2 Rod of Silence - Kay Est
2 Pot of Duality
1 Pot of Avarice
1 Vylon Component
1 Vylon Material
1 Reinforcement
1 Dark Hole
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn

Not really anything to say about this deck. The extra plays 1 of each Vylon Ptool, Brose, Ancient Sacred, GachiGachi, Leviar, and like 2 rank 4's.

Side deck is dedicated to keep the spam going and for it to not be stopped.
I side 3 decree and 3 mst. I also side 2 One Day of Peace. One day is just a great set up card. I am thinking of 2 nightbeam but it's hard to decide what I actually would sub out for all this. The rest of the extra is sketchy.

Thank You guys for reading this. If I failed please explain and it will be fixed. I am very tired as I worked on this over night some with a buddy on here over skype.

I am working on Disigma Control and Delta Control.
Also I will post why other cards are not used and why.

Disigma Control is almost finished. Does anyone know any cards to make Delta better or make him useful in an otk or something. Cause working on a deck around him seems difficult to the maxx.
