So let's start this article with a story. We have a duelist named Steve. Steve wants to run kuriboh in his piper chaos, as he likes the fact that it is a dark hand trap. So Steve puts 2 kuriboh in his deck as a hand trap. After a while, Steve notices he keeps having to summon Kuriboh and use it to defend himself. He realizes that if he uses Detonate with his kuriboh, he can tribute it and destroy a card. After this, he realizes his detonate is not very effective with just 1 kuriboh. So, Steve adds a couple of copies of multiply to his deck.
Now, Steve notices he is not drawing kuriboh often enough. So, Steve adds 3 copies of the flute of summoning kuriboh to his deck.
Now let's follow a parallel example with Steve's friend joe.
Joe has the same idea as Steve. But when Joe adds his kuribohs and notices they don't seem to be working, he notices they are kind of useless. Joe replaces his kuriboh with copies of cards he feels work well in his deck.

Next Month, both Joe and Steve go to a YCS. Steve loses all his games and scrubs out. Joe does fairly well and makes the top 32. Steve complains all the way home about not drawing his comboes. Now you may be asking, what is the moral of this story? The moral of the story is, if you rationalize playing [Word Censored] cards by playing more [Word Censored] cards, all that makes you is a scrub. Not an innovator. A scrub.

TL; DR : You cannot rationalize bad cards with more bad cards.
